Michigan Homeowner’s Assistance Fund Program

The Michigan Homeowner’s Assistance Fund (MIHAF) Program was established under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. The program aims to mitigate hardships caused by COVID-19 by providing funds associated with mortgage delinquency, defaults, foreclosures, loss of utilities, energy services or displacement.

Although the program was announced last year, it is anticipated to officially launch mid-February 2022.

Individuals seeking to apply may join the MSHDA mailing list for the program here: https://www.michigan.gov/mshda/Homeownership/mihaf-homeowner-assistance

Abayomi is available to assist you with the MIHAF application when it is released. However, if you are looking for Foreclosure Prevention support and would like to speak with a Housing Counselor sooner, we are here for you. Click here for our intake form.
