Up Next! is a post-secondary youth initiative designed to prepare students for success in life, school, and the workplace.

We offer ACT/SAT Prep, The Up Next Conference Series, and The Up Next College/Career Fair.

ACT/SAT PREP

ACT/SAT Prep is for high school students preparing to take standardized testing for the first time or for students seeking to increase their test scores. Discover the best test strategies for your learning style, gain confidence in your abilities under pressure, and have fun while doing so! ACT/SAT Prep is available twice per week. THE UP NEXT! CONFERENCE SERIES

The Up Next! Conference Series was created to help high school students discover essential tools for a successful future. Students will engage in roundtable discussions with industry professionals, gain insight from phenomenal speakers, enjoy free lunch, giveaways, and more.

This year’s conferences are: Real World Ready (February 22, 2020) and Side Hustles & Passion Projects (May 9, 2020).

Real World Ready prepares students transitioning from high school to adulthood. Students will discuss topics such as personal finances, healthcare, education, and independent living with field leaders, gaining valuable inside knowledge on how to conquer their worlds despite any circumstance.

Side Hustles & Passion Projects teaches students how to monetize their talents. Students will speak with leaders in entertainment, beauty, health, and technology about how they began their careers and provide insight on how they can establish their business even before graduation.

STUDENTS LIVING IN THE CITY OF DETROIT ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY. 

THE UP NEXT!! EXPO

The Up Next! Expo invites all high school students throughout the Detroit-Metropolitan Detroit area to make a move on their future. Meet with representatives from colleges and trade programs around the country, attend hourly workshops for students and parents, and attend a featured guest speaker discussion. Refreshments and giveaways are provided.
